The Seattle Seahawks continue their drive to the Super Bowl in the 2013-2014 season. They have built a team on players that many teams didn’t want. But I’ll bet you didn’t know they also signed a 12-year-old last summer to a 5 year contract?
His name is Kevin Lee and you’ve probably never hear of him. He’s an undrafted free agent, 12 years old, and has a life-threatening heart condition. Most of all, he’s a Seattle Seahawks Super fan.
It was all part of the Make-A-Wish foundation and ESPN’s “My Wish” show. They made a dream come true by signing Lee to the deal and made it official with the coach and GM in attendance at the official press conference that included questions from the press. Upon being asked if he likes the deal he signed with the Seahawks, Kevin says “Sort of. I would have liked 6 years, but you know”.
And Kevin’s prediction for the Seahawks? “There will be a Super Bowl this year”.
If you have a few minutes, check out the full ESPN segment where Kevin gets to meet his heroes and play football with them at practice. I promise it will warm your heart.
