8-year-old Myles Eckert is a special kid. On Feb. 7th, at a Cracker Barrel parking lot in Toledo, Ohio, he found 20 dollars. Like most kids, he was pretty excited and planned what he would spend it on.
“I kind of wanted to get a video game, but then I decided not to,” Myles says.
When he walked into the restaurant and noticed a Marine enjoying dinner with his family, he decided to pay it forward.
“Because he was a soldier, and soldiers remind me of my dad,” Myles explains.
So Myles took the money, wrapped it in a note and handed it to the soldier, and made an impact on the Marine’s life that may last forever.
Another amazing story from the Steve Hartman’s On The Road series for CBS News.
See another great story of kids paying it forward.
